Cheers to this amazing island, to the delicious food, luxury hotels, to the nature and the breathtaking blue mare, cheers to Santorini!
Even if you’ve never been to this Cyclades island in the Aegean Sea, you’d still recognize it immediately – candy-colored houses carved into cliffs, sapphire waters, gleaming white buildings topped with half-spheres the color of a stormy sky. Here you’ll find peace as you roam the black sand beaches or the streets of a provincial village like Imerovigli. Beautiful Oia is world famous for its sunsets, which seem tinted with every shade of an artist’s palette.
Santorini is one of those places you’ll always want to go back again. It gives you a special feeling and fills you with positive energy.
If you wears something white and blue you’ll be looking gorgeous 😉
My favorite hotel is “Santorini Princess”. Superb!
“You really get a princess treatment here, where the owners welcome you with a drink and a tour of the facilities. The rooms and common areas are tastefully decorated with attention to detail, the hotel is everything you expect from a 5 star establishment: clean; with friendly and helpful staff; and fantastic views of the sea and mountains. The rooftop restaurant serves delicious food at reasonable prices, where you can enjoy the beautiful views and the friendly and excellent service. The in-hotel spa is also definitely worth a visit, boasting the same excellence as the rest of the hotel. A stay here is an experience to remember for life, that I can highly recommend.” Josan family, Norway- says a tourist.
You can book here.
Santorini is one of those places where all the taverns start preparing for serving dinner to the costumers while they’re watching the sunset everyday at 6 pm. It’s a great atmosphere.
You always feel like home under those light strings at the beach!
THINGS TO DO!

If you are on Santorini for a vacation, take the time to visit Thirasia, and not just with the tourist boats if you can. It is like stepping back in time as long as you get out of the port of Korfos where all the tourist boats stop. Walk up to Manolas and it is like stepping back in time. I first visited Santorini 2 years ago and on Thirasia, nothing has changed. Stop in t the Panorama restaurant and enjoy the best traditional food that you can have had on the islands. If you just want to have something to drink, Yiannis, the owner and cook has no problem with that. Just sit there and enjoy the fantastic view. It is not called Panorama for nothing.
Panorama restaurant. Try the pasta and the peinirli! Oh mamma mia~
There is another way to get to the island other than the tourist boats. You can take a small ferry from the port of Amoudi (Oia) over to the port of Riva nad take the bus up to Manolas. It goeas at 08:00 and 12:00 and the last one back is at 05:00. It costs €1.00 each way.
If you need a nice place to stay I’d recommend ‘Zacharo Rooms For Rent’, better known as ‘Jimmys’. It is the only hotel on the island. Jimmy and Roula are two of the nicest people you can ever ever meet and the peace and quiet at night will lead to one of the best nights of sleep you can ever have. The sunsets and sunrises on Thirasia are fantastic. If you spend a whole day there, you can walk to some of the 21 churches on the island. Walk to Kimissi Monastery at the southern tip of the island. The views over the caldera are fantastic and give you a very different perspective of the island group. On the way back, stop off in the abandoned town of Kera and climb up to Profitis Ilias. The view from the top is breathtaking. There is a lot to see, but make sure you have good walking shoes and lots of water.
Mnemossyne Artists House, Oia
Mnemossyne artists house is the place where you will find an unique variety of pieces of art like photographs, jewellery, clothes, etc…, all astonishingly handmade by local artists. The gallery has a very harmonic atmosphere in an elegant cave house located only a few steps before the famous sunset spot in Oia.
I’ve been here myself and trust me it’s on the list of must-visit places for every lady and art lover 😉
Hike from Fira to Oia- “Best thing to do in santorini”
It’s free! It’s good exercise. If you can’t do it you need to get in shape. Some amazing scenery and not terribly difficult terrain. Path is well marked. Not lots of people. Definitely leave as early as possible, put on sun block, and bring plenty of water. Enjoy
Groove Bar Kamari, Kamari
Guys I’ve been here too. It’s a very nice place if you enjoy night-life. In fact it’s the best one. 🙂 You can learn more here
The best restaurant here is the Liver Bird Cafe. I’ve tried some delicious dishes there. Do they have some kind of a magical portion to add to the food or what?!

At the Dimitri’s…
Atmosphere Lounge Restaurant is just a wonderful place I’ll never forget. I was fascinated by the food, the staff and the restaurant’s owner, Dimitris. Such a kind person.
